The third interregional conference of rectors of universities of Uzbekistan and Russia was held in Bukhara today. The main goal of the international forum is to train qualified personnel in modern areas and specialties between Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as to bring cooperation in the field of scientific research to a new level. Representatives of local authorities and rectors of more than 80 prestigious higher educational institutions. In particular, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor ABDUVAKHITOV, President of the Russian Federation Anton RIBAKOV, Deputy Head of the Department of Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdukodir TASHKULOV, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher  Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry AFANASIEV.   Within the framework of the third interregional conference of rectors of Uzbek-Russian universities Representatives of the highest state structures of the two countries - from the Uzbek side, adviser to the president A. Abduvakhitov, minister of higher and secondary specialized education A. Tashkulov, khokim of Bukhara region B. Zaripov;  A closed meeting of the Deputy Head of the Department of Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries A. Rybakov and the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education D. Afanasyev took place in Russia. The meeting discussed the development of cooperation in the field of higher education, as well as current tasks and issues. The parties also exchanged views on education, science and culture.
