A republican seminar is being held on the topic “Measures being taken in the republic to combat terrorism, religious extremism, drug addiction and drug crimes” Higher educational institutions of the region, including the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, and the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan, are also participating in this seminar online. According to the joint program of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a republican training seminar is being held on November 21-22 of this year on measures being taken in the republic to combat terrorism, religious extremism, as well as drug addiction and drug crimes. The seminar is attended by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, S. Eshbekova, Head of the Department of Youth Work, Spirituality and Education, M. Kholbekova, tutors, and members of the "Kalqon" public organization. During the event, speakers provided detailed information on the latest trends in drug addiction observed in the republic, as well as measures being taken to improve the sector, work being carried out to combat the spread of narcotic drugs, psychotropic and strong substances, drug-related assistance provided to the population, cooperation between youth leaders and prevention inspectors, the field of early detection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of drug addiction, measures to prevent and detect the spread of drugs on the Internet, and the negative consequences of drug addiction and drug crimes.
