A roundtable discussion was held at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute on the topic of "Prevention of early marriage and the negative consequences of consanguineous marriages"

Today, in our country, special attention is paid to strengthening the institution of the family, increasing its prestige, improving its legal basis, preventing early marriage and giving birth to healthy children. Unfortunately, due to the haste in establishing the family foundation, some parents marry off their children who are still studying or have not yet mastered a profession, young people are falling into a whirlpool of problems. To eliminate these situations, individuals who have entered into early marriages, as well as parents who have allowed this, employees of educational and religious institutions, are being held accountable. The Family Code, the Administrative Responsibility Code and the Criminal Code have included norms establishing liability for violating the requirements of the law on marriageable age, that is, entering into marriage with a person who has not reached the age of marriage, giving him or her in marriage, as well as performing a religious ceremony for concluding a marriage with a person who has not reached the age of marriage. As we know, one of the main conditions for forming a healthy family is for a woman to marry at a biologically and spiritually mature age. Their lack of mental, physical, medical, and spiritual readiness for family life leads to a number of negative consequences. Parents, especially the age of the mother, also play a key role in determining the health of a child. Young marriage and early motherhood not only limit many of a woman's opportunities, but can also pose a serious threat to her health. The next round of the seminar held at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute was aimed at preventing such negative consequences. In order to ensure the implementation of paragraph 343 of the “Annual Calendar Plan for Tasks to be Implemented in the Field of Youth Issues and Spiritual and Educational Work during the 2024/2025 Academic Year,” approved by the Rector of the Institute on August 28, 2024, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic of “Prevention of Early Marriage and the Negative Consequences of Marriages Between Relatives.” The roundtable discussion was attended by F. Kadirova, a doctor from the reproductive health department of the Jizzakh branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health, G. Qazokova, an obstetrician-gynecologist from the reproductive health department of the Jizzakh branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health, F. Mamasiddikova, head of the Jizzakh region “Aqila Alayor” movement, member of the Jizzakh regional “Aqila Alayor” movement council, M.
