An essay competition was held on the topic "Jadids: ideas of national identity, independence and statehood"

In order to ensure the implementation of Order No. 428 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations dated November 11, 2024, as well as to perpetuate the memory of ancestors, study their activities and heritage based on a new mindset, form high spirituality in students and young people, instill the role and significance of the artistic works of our Jadids in the minds of young people, study the activities of our Jadid ancestors, as well as get acquainted with their exemplary life and work, an essay competition on the topic “Jadids: ideas of national identity, independence and statehood” was held on January 13 of this year among students studying at the institute. First, the head of the Department of Work with Youth, Spirituality and Enlightenment, M. Kholbekova, introduced the participants to the Competition Regulations. After that, the competition began. The members of the Jury monitored the conduct of the competition. After the competition was completed, the essays written by the students were checked by the members of the Jury in accordance with the Competition Regulations. The main goal of the competition is to study the activities of our Jadid ancestors, get acquainted with their exemplary life and work, consider them as a school of great experience and skills, and study in more depth the works and ideas they have bequeathed to us, their courageous struggle and dedication to great goals. The competition is held in 2 stages: 1. Institute stage; 2. Final republican stage. Participating students are given 1 hour to write an essay. The written essays are evaluated based on the following evaluation criteria: - full disclosure of the topic - 20 points; - disclosure of the courage of the Jadids, their works and ideas they have bequeathed to us, their courageous struggle and dedication to great goals - 20 points; - spelling literacy, vocabulary and stylistic skills – 20 points; - disclosure of the views of the youth on raising patriotic people loyal to their Motherland – 20 points; - the presence of concluding thoughts and the skill of expressing them – 20 points. The essays will be checked by the Jury and evaluated up to 100 points. The final result was as follows: I place – Abduraimova O'g'iloy Abduvali qizi, a student of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, 701-23 KT group; II place – Yusupova Mohiniso Sardor qizi, a student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, 212-24 MKQE group; III place – Narzullayev Dilshod Yusuf oglu, a student of the Faculty of Transport Engineering, 104-24 TVM group.
