In order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 62 dated December 12, 2024 “On preparations for the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and its high-level holding”, paragraph 319 of the “Annual calendar work plan for tasks to be carried out in the direction of youth issues and spiritual and educational work at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute during the 2024/2025 academic year”, approved by the rector of the institute on August 28, 2024, paragraph “Widely celebrating the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland”, an event was held at the institute on January 14 of this year on the theme “The New Army of Uzbekistan is the support of the country, the pride of our people!” At the beginning of the event, a video dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan was shown, and the national anthem was performed by all participants of the event. After that, the rector of the institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alisher Usmankulov took the floor and addressed his sincere and good wishes to those present. – By defender of the homeland, we mean not only the military, but all those who protect the peace of their country and the well-being of their people, who contribute to it with their honest work and patriotism. This date is a symbol of national pride, unity and solidarity not only for those in one profession, but for our entire people. Dear colleagues who continue their work in the military field and continue their work in our team today, we see in you, our brave and courageous veteran soldiers, who honorably fulfill the greatest task in the world - to defend the Motherland, and continue the glorious traditions of our great ancestors such as Jaloliddin Manguberdi, Amir Temur, and Babur Mirzo, as true shields of our Motherland. Today, our Armed Forces and thousands of our soldiers who faithfully fulfill their duties in their ranks have a worthy contribution to all the achievements and milestones we are achieving on the path to building a New Uzbekistan. Their heroic services, courage shown for the sake of national peace, and firm position are an example for all of us. Thanks to their endurance and courage, peace and tranquility reign in the sky of our Motherland., - said the rector of the institute. After that, on the occasion of January 14 - Defender of the Fatherland Day, a ceremony was held to award veterans and members of the "Kalqon" team working at the institute. During the event, dancers from the Jizzakh regional branch of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan danced to national songs, poems recited by talented students of the Hamid Olimjon and Zulfiya creative schools, and songs performed by talented students of the institute gave a good mood to the participants of the event.
