In accordance with Appendix 6 to Presidential Decree No. PF–199 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated January 30, 2026, entitled the “Action Program for Establishing Green Belts in the Cities of the Republic and Their Surrounding Areas for 2024–2030,” Clause 26 sets forth the task of conducting awareness-raising and advocacy activities aimed at elevating the planting of trees and shrubs to the level of a national tradition and cultural value.
In line with this document, it is envisaged to systematically establish the tradition of tree planting during national holidays, as well as at international, national, and regional conferences, official events, receptions, forums, and other public gatherings.
To ensure the implementation of these tasks, a tree-planting event was organized at Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute under the slogan “For the Motherland, for the Nation, for the People!”
During the event, the institute’s staff and eco-active students took an active part in planting ornamental and fruit tree saplings on the campus.
This initiative serves to protect the environment, ensure ecological sustainability, expand green spaces, and enhance ecological awareness among students.
