Working conditions and occupational safety — always in our focus

In the higher education system, special attention is paid to working conditions and occupational safety, to preventing industrial accidents and occupational diseases, and creating the conditions necessary for employees' health and safe work is one of the priority directions of state policy.

At Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute these issues are also constantly kept under control, and the primary trade union organization performs important tasks in this area. In particular:

• Regular monitoring is carried out on improving working conditions and providing convenient and safe workplaces for employees.
• Seminars, training sessions and explanatory work on occupational safety rules are held, raising employees' legal and practical literacy.
• Awareness and promotion work is regularly carried out on industrial accidents — events that lead to injury or other damage to employees' health in connection with the performance of their work duties both on the employer's premises and outside them, including while traveling to or from work in transport provided by the employer.
• Special attention is paid to occupational diseases that arise in employees as a result of exposure to a harmful or hazardous production factor, their consequences and preventive measures.

Therefore, in order to achieve effective results in occupational safety and improving working conditions and to organize efforts in this area in a more targeted way, our institute has set up a system for identifying accidents and occupational diseases that may occur in the course of employees' work, for collecting and analyzing information about them; measures are taken in every case, the causes are studied and measures to eliminate them are developed.

Special attention is paid to the working conditions of occupational safety services. Occupational health services must not only perform a number of tasks but also perform them properly, taking technical and ethical aspects into account.

Employees' rights and interests are constantly protected. Therefore, work continues at the institute on creating a favorable working environment for all employees, preventing occupational diseases and ensuring that accidents do not happen.
