About the Department of Electrical Technology
This department was separated from the Department of "General Sciences" operating at the Jizzakh branch of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute in 1979. The department was initially named "Physics", and then in 1992, in connection with the opening of the Electrical Engineering specialty, it was called "Physics and Electrical Engineering". In 2002, the "Electrical Engineering" department was separated from its structure. In 2005, the "Physics and Electrical Engineering" departments were merged and named the "Electrical Engineering and Physics" department, in 2012, the "Electrical Engineering" department, in 2020, the "Energy" department, and since 2024, the "Energy and Electrical Technology" department. Currently, 33 professors and teachers work in the department. In particular, 1 professor, 5 candidates of sciences-associate professors, 8 senior teachers, 19 assistants are teaching students in 53 subjects related to electric power engineering and power engineering in accordance with the State Educational Standards. Currently, assistants O. Olimov, M. Hasanov, A. Suyarov, A. Boliyev, A. Kurbonov are engaged in scientific activities as independent researchers. The professors and teachers of the department are conducting advanced training at foreign universities and conducting scientific research on the basis of a number of projects. In particular, the senior lecturer of the department Mirzayev Uchkun Nazarkasimovich won the competition announced by the US Embassy in Uzbekistan and received a grant worth a total of $ 25,000. With these funds, he returned from a 4-month internship at the University of Wyoming, one of the leading universities in the United States. In the department of "Electrical Technology", according to the agreement signed between the Turkish State Ege University and the institute, the senior lecturer of the department U. Mirzayev and U. Khudoyberdiev are working together The department conducts online training for students of the educational program. In particular, the department has signed a cooperation agreement with EGE University, the most prestigious higher education institution of the Republic of Turkey, which is among the top 1000 in the ranking of international higher education institutions. In addition, the department has signed memorandums of understanding with "MEI" MTU, Don Technical University, "TIQXMMI" MTU, TDTU. In particular, the department has signed cooperation agreements with the production enterprises of "Uzbekenergo" DAC "Jizzakh regional territorial electric grid enterprise" JSC, "Jizzakh Plastmassa" OJSC, "Jizzakh grain products" JSC, "Jizzakh Zenatkor iron concrete products" JSC, "Stone leader" LLC, Elektro-elenant fayz" LLC.
