INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Department of “Higher Mathematics” was established in March 1978 under the Department of General Educational Sciences of the Jizzakh General Technical Faculty of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute. In 1978-2025, the department was headed by Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor M. Mansurov, Candidate of Technical Sciences T. Eshonkulov, Candidate of Technical Sciences A. Abdulkhalikov, Senior Lecturer S. Murodov, Candidates of Physical and Mathematical Sciences: A.O. Musayev, A. Hamrokulov, B. Bobonazarov, A. Sh. Berdiyorov, U.A. Soatov and Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor M. M. Usanov. Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor M. Mansurov, A. O. Musayev, A. Abdulkhalikov made a great contribution to the structure and development of the department. Since September 2025, the department has been headed by B.B. Adilov, Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor. During 2010-2016, the department was rejuvenated by young teachers R. Mirzaqobilov, T. Haydarov, H. Alimov, S. Sharipov, K. Akhadova, B. Rahimov and A. Nematov. These young specialists quickly identified their research interests and began joint research work with scientists from prestigious universities of our country. Since September 2016, Professor S. Otakulov, Ph.D. in Pedagogical Sciences, has been invited to work at the department. Since the beginning of his career, this outstanding scientist has been guiding the scientific work of young teachers B. Rahimov and T. Haydarov and providing them with the necessary advice. In 2018-2022, prof., J. Khusanov, assoc. prof. E. Qurbonov, M. Usanov, B. Adilov, Sh. Fayzullayev, U. Arslonov, N. Abriyev, S. Abdusaidov, J. Mamatov, A. Uzoqboyev were hired to the department. These young teachers began their scientific work in a short time and achieved high results. Currently, the teachers of the department, Kh. Jabborov, U. Arslonov, N. Abriyev and M. Tursunov, are studying for basic doctoral studies at prestigious higher educational institutions of our country and are conducting their scientific work. 6 professors of the department have 1 C1 and 4 B2 level language certificates, which determine the level of knowledge of foreign languages, and these professors conduct training in a foreign language for specialized English language groups organized at the institute. Over the past 2 years, the professors and teachers of the department have published 10 textbooks, 6 study guides, and more than 20 methodological guides. Scientific articles that are the results of scientific research work are being published in prestigious higher education and scientific research institutions of our country and abroad. More than 15 articles have been published in scientific journals in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.
Currently, 16 professors and teachers work in the department. In particular, 1 professor, 5 candidates of sciences, (PhD) associate professors, 6 senior teachers, and 5 assistants teach students in 6 subjects related to all areas of the Institute in accordance with the State Educational Standards.
