Department of Physical Education
In 1977, the Department of Physical Education was established under the Department of Physics. This department was headed by the master of sports in Judo, Kh. Toymurodov, and three teachers worked in the department. In 1980-1984, the Department of Physical Education was transferred to the Department of General Sciences. It was headed by R. Bozorov. Teachers such as B. Okbutaev, J. Navrozov, and K. Yusupov made a great contribution to providing students with thorough knowledge. In those years, a gym was completed at the branch of the institute and sports grounds were organized. These included basketball, volleyball, football, and handball. In 1984-1992, the Department of Physical Education expanded under the leadership of R. Bozorov, and six teachers-coaches taught students. After independence, on September 1, 1992, the Department of Physical Education was established. Initially, this department was headed by senior teacher R. Bozorov, and from 1993 to 1995, senior teacher K. Akilov. Since 1996, senior teacher K. Yusupov has been in charge. In addition to clubs, students participated in competitions with great preparation. At the "Universiade-2002" sports competitions held in Bukhara, 51 students from the institute defended the honor of our region and institute in athletics, volleyball, basketball, handball, table tennis, and chess. E. Garafiddinova won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal. In 2004-2006, students of the institute took 1st place in the Uzbekistan Championship in mini-football and were awarded a gold medal. As a result of regular training, in 2007 Y.Khamrakulova became the champion of Uzbekistan in the chess sport and the bronze medalist of Asia. In 2008, she became the winner of the State Prize named after "Zulfiya". In 2008-2010, B.Odilov became the champion of Uzbekistan in the Bagi direction held in the city of Jizzakh. B.Abdug'aniyev took 1st place in the Uzbekistan Championship in the Arem wrestling sport held in Tashkent. Y.Khamrakulova became the gold medalist in the chess sport at the "Universiade-2010" sports competition held in Andijan. Kh.Karimov won a bronze medal in swimming. Since 2016, Associate Professor Kh.Abduvaliyev has been heading the Department of Physical Education. In the department, 9 professors and teachers of the department conduct classes in physical education and sports for students of all specializations. The department employs 3 associate professors, 3 senior teachers and 3 assistants, 2 heads of offices. In accordance with the order of the Minister of Physical Education and Sports No. 266 dated February 19, 2021, Abduvaliyev Kh. A. was awarded the "Excellence in Physical Education and Sports" badge. A total of 8 sports fields have been built on the territory of the institute over the years. The Sports Hall in the main building was reconstructed in 2017 and re-equipped and became a venue that meets world standards, and competitions between republican, regional, institute and unorganized youth are regularly held. For the first time in the republic, the STUDENTS CUP competition was launched among students in order to increase the interest of our youth in "Mini football". In this competition, students of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute qualified for the final stage. To create a healthy environment, clubs were organized in 15 sports. In the clubs, 800 young people, about 250 professors and teachers, and 150 women regularly participate in training to restore their health. At the "Universiade-2019" sports competition held in Navoi, 32 students from the institute defended the honor of our region and institute in athletics, volleyball, basketball, handball, table tennis, and chess and checkers. Gulhayo Rahmatova took 3rd place in checkers and won a bronze medal. At the Asian Paracanoe Championship held in Pattaya, Thailand, Mukhlisa Eshmirzayeva Isomiddin kizi, a student of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, won a gold medal. In the women's VL3 class, our student Mukhlisa Eshmirzayeva won a gold medal with a result of 1:05.912, surpassing athletes from India, Kazakhstan and Iran in this distance. In 2019, students of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute of the Jizzakh region became 18 champions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2022, 74 teams participated in the regional "Governor's Cup" futsal competition. The "Polytechnic" national team of our institute took an honorable 1st place in the competition and won a gold medal. Students of our institute are training to participate in the "Universiade-2022" sports competition.

The professors and teachers of the Department of Physical Education have been contributing to the education of our students as comprehensively physically mature, spiritually healthy, mentally deep and mature individuals in the new academic year. For the 2023-2024 academic year, 4 associate professors, 1 PhD, 2 senior teachers, 4 assistant teachers and 2 heads of offices are working in our department, at the same time, it is planned to build new sports fields, summer locker rooms, and washrooms on the territory of our institute. We believe that the role of physical education is very important in the healthy growth of the youth of new Uzbekistan.
