Bachelor's degree – provides thorough knowledge in one of the fields of higher education; the period of study is at least four years and ends with a diploma of higher education and a basic specialty.

Master's degree – higher education in a specific specialty lasting at least two years on the basis of a bachelor's degree; studies end with the final qualification state attestation and the defense of a master's dissertation.

Postgraduate study (Aspirantura) – lasts 3 years on the basis of a master's degree and ends with the defense of a candidate's dissertation and the award of the academic degree of "Candidate of Sciences" in the chosen specialty.

Doctoral studies – last 3 years on the basis of the academic degree of Candidate of Sciences and end with the defense of a dissertation for the academic degree of "Doctor of Sciences".

The direct leadership of a higher education institution is exercised by its rector.

Rector – derived from the Latin word "rector", meaning the head of a higher education institution. The rector is appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and is responsible for implementing the unified state policy in the field of education in the institution he or she heads, on the basis of the "National Program for Personnel Training" (you will receive full information about the program during your studies). The rector also plans future work related to the activities of the institution and ensures its implementation, issues orders that are mandatory for staff and students within the powers of the institution, and takes measures aimed at improving students' study conditions and providing them with scholarships on time.
