Today, special attention is paid to comprehensive support for the aspirations of young people in our country for quality education, professional development, and elimination of existing problems. These issues were also reflected in the topical issues and tasks raised by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his dialogue with young people on February 14 of this year. During the dialogue, it was noted that as a result of reforms in the higher education system, the coverage of youth in higher education has increased from 9 percent to 42 percent in recent years, and the number of universities has increased threefold. It was also noted that due to the state-funded contracts for women, the number of female students has increased 11 times, and the number of our young scientists with scientific degrees has increased twofold, reaching 4,357 people. During the conversation, it was especially noted that one of the most pressing issues - the issue of providing graduates with employment - is one of the most important tasks and problems facing us. Drawing attention to this issue, the Head of our state noted that today 90 thousand young people graduating from universities are having difficulty finding work in their specialty. He warned about the negative consequences of high unemployment among youth. He said that the fight against unemployment would be taken to a new level to solve this problem, and $ 100 million would be allocated for this. In this regard, he set a number of important tasks and objectives for the heads of higher educational institutions. Based on the tasks set at the meeting, the necessary measures have been developed for the work to be carried out at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, and a number of works are being implemented. In particular, on April 21 of this year, the rector of the institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alisher Usmankulov met with graduates. The meeting, chaired by the rector, was attended by the acting vice-rector for academic affairs J. Nasriddinov, deans of faculties, heads of departments, heads of departments, professors and teachers, as well as graduates of the "Construction of Buildings" and "Architectural Design" programs. During the meeting, relevant instructions were given to those responsible for the high-quality and timely implementation of the instructions given by our head of state. Vacancies were analyzed, issues of ensuring the employment of graduates and their placement were discussed. The meeting of the rector of the institute with graduates will continue.
