Today, special attention is paid to comprehensive support for the aspirations of young people in our country for quality education, professional development, and elimination of existing problems. These issues were also reflected in the topical issues and tasks raised by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his dialogue with young people on February 14 of this year. During the dialogue, it was noted that as a result of reforms in the higher education system, the coverage of young people in higher education has increased from 9 percent to 42 percent in recent years, and the number of universities has increased threefold. It was also noted that due to the state-funded contracts for women, the number of female students has increased 11 times, and the number of our young scientists with scientific degrees has increased twofold, reaching 4,357 people. During the conversation, it was especially noted that one of the most pressing issues - the issue of providing graduates with employment - is one of the most important tasks and problems facing us. Drawing attention to this issue, the Head of our state noted that today 90 thousand young people graduating from universities are having difficulty finding work in their specialty. He warned about the negative consequences of high unemployment among youth. He said that to solve this problem, the fight against unemployment will be taken to a new level, and $ 100 million will be allocated for this. In this regard, he set a number of important tasks and objectives for the heads of higher educational institutions. Based on the tasks set at the meeting, the necessary measures have been developed for the work to be carried out at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, and a number of works are being implemented. In particular, the rector of the institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alisher Usmankulov, over the past two weeks, has held meetings with graduates of a number of educational areas. On April 30, 2025, the rector of the institute Alisher Usmankulov met with graduates of the departments of the Department of Road Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Department of Metrology and Standardization of the Faculty of Energy Engineering. Today, May 1, the rector met with graduates of the departments of the faculties of Cybersports, Chemical Engineering and Industrial Technologies. The next meetings, organized for two days under the leadership of the rector, were attended by the acting vice-rector for academic affairs J. Nasriddinov, deans of faculties, heads of departments, heads of departments, professors and teachers, and graduates. The meetings analyzed vacancies, discussed issues of ensuring the employment of graduates, and their employment. The rector of the institute talked face to face with each student and listened to their problems one by one. Relevant instructions were given to those responsible for the high-quality and timely implementation of the instructions given by our President. Those responsible for laxity in ensuring the employment of graduates were warned. The meeting of the rector of the institute with graduates will continue in the next faculties.
