Within the framework of the tasks set at the expanded meeting of the Republican Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment held on December 22, 2023 under the leadership of our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, one day of each month was designated as Theater Day. May 9 - On the occasion of the Day of Memory and Honor, the Jizzakh Regional Musical Drama Theater named after Yunus Rajabiy presented the play "Nodirabegim" by Turob Tola for students and youth of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute. For information, this historical play: — This work, dedicated to the complex life of Nodirabegim, one of the outstanding representatives of Uzbek classical literature, who lived and worked in the late 18th and first half of the 20th centuries, mainly tells about the era of 14-year-old Muhammad Alikhan, who ascended the throne of the Kokand Khanate. The work depicts the oppressed people who became victims of usurpations due to our past lack of will, and the difficult life of our great poet, who suffered from mutual distrust, betrayal, and slander, full of suffering, based on historical facts. Since her son was young, Nodirabegim stood by Muhammad Alikhan in governing the country. The poet, who always dreamed of a free and happy life for her people, accomplished great things for the peace and prosperity of the country during this period, from 1822 to 1842. Despite the eternal conflicts in the palace, she achieved some successes in the path of the rise of literature and the social and economic development of statehood, no matter how difficult it was. When we see the courage of such historical figures, each of us involuntarily becomes proud. We feel that we should come to the theater more often and watch historical performances, thereby learning more about our ancestors. The students and young people who watched the performance had a spiritual and educational break.
