The faculties of Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute organized a literary evening on the theme “Remembering ancestors is a sacred value” dedicated to May 9 - “Day of Memory and Honor”.

Initially, the event was opened with the singing of the national anthem, which is the national symbol of our state, and all participants of the event paid tribute. The evening was attended by the Chairman of the Council of Honor of the Defense Department of the Jizzakh region, retired lieutenant colonel R. Jabborov, Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Jizzakh region, G. Atajonov, Veteran of the National Guard of the Jizzakh region, retired lieutenant colonel R. Mayliboyev, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council of Enlighteners of the Jizzakh region, Labor Veteran N. Nurmamatov, Honored Worker of Public Education, Labor Veteran M. Sharipov, and Chairman of the Council of Honor of the State Security Service, Border Troops B. Murodov. Initially, the event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering M. Mirzabekov, who delivered a holiday greeting to the participants of the event by the rector of the institute A. Usmankulov. The next speech was continued by the Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Defense Department of Jizzakh region, retired lieutenant colonel R. Jabborov, who congratulated everyone on the Day of Memory and Appreciation. The next speech was given to the Deputy Military Prosecutor of Jizzakh G. Atajonov, who spoke about how today's youth appreciate peace and how many of our brave sons have sacrificed their lives for this country during this time of peace. The next speech was continued by the veteran of the National Guard of Jizzakh region, retired lieutenant colonel R. Mayliboyev, who congratulated everyone on today's holiday. The next word was given to the Deputy Chairman of the Public Council of the Nuroniylar of Jizzakh Region, Veteran of Labor N. Nurmamatov, who gave everyone some information about all our comrades who sacrificed their lives for us to achieve today's peaceful times, and at the same time congratulated the participants of the event on the holiday. The next words were continued by the Honored Worker of Public Education, Veteran of Labor M. Sharipov and the Chairman of the Honorary Council of the State Security Service, Border Troops B. Murodov, who congratulated everyone on May 9 - "Day of Memory and Honor". After that, the turn was given to the artistic part of the event, and the operational unit of the Jizzakh regional military district garrison presented hand-to-hand combat performances.

After that, the turn was given to poetic performances dedicated to today's event by talented students of the faculty, and each student presented poems on the topic. At the end of the event, a talented student performed a song called "Uzbekistan." The event was held in a high spirit and was enjoyed by all participants.
