On May 7, 2025, an important meeting was held between representatives of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute and the Hefei University of Technology of the People's Republic of China, aimed at developing cooperation in scientific and technical fields. This meeting was an important step towards strengthening mutual cooperation between the two higher education institutions, implementing new scientific projects and launching innovative initiatives.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Hefei University of Technology, the rector of the institute from the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alisher Usmankulov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovation Jamshid Abdunazarov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Muhriddin Eshkulov, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Engineering Sirojiddin Jiyanboyev, and Head of the Department of Transport Engineering Sherali Suvonkulov.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a number of topical issues, including the activities and prospects of the Advanced Automotive Engineering School being established at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute. In particular, the necessary investments for the school, the opening of a modern research and development (R&D) center, as well as the possibilities of joint participation in scientific and technical projects were discussed.

As part of the visit, the delegation members also visited the BYD automobile plant operating in the city of Jizzakh and got acquainted with the production process. This was another important step towards strengthening the practical aspects of cooperation and developing an education system integrated with industry.

This meeting was another important step towards strengthening bilateral cooperation and achieving new achievements in the scientific field.
