In accordance with the relevant Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and in preparation for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference to be held in Samarkand in 2025, a delegation of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute visited the Islamic Republic of Iran. The main goal of the visit is to strengthen international cooperation, exchange experiences in the fields of research and education, discuss opportunities for cooperation with industrial partners, and further promote the rich cultural heritage of our republic. One of the main events of the trip was a spiritual and educational event on the theme "Uzbekistan - a priceless cultural heritage" organized at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tehran. The event was attended by Iranian guests, representatives of the tourism industry, citizens of Uzbekistan, entrepreneurs, the leadership of prestigious universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the media, including the creators of Iranian Television, Tehran Times, Iran Daily, Mehr News, ITNA News, Isfahan Ziba newspapers. This event was aimed at widely promoting the rich history, unique culture and spiritual values of Uzbekistan. During the program, videos about our cultural monuments, exhibitions dedicated to the Great Silk Road, materials about the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, as well as handicraft products, Uzbek national music and dances were shown, and the guests were treated to national dishes and sweets. As part of the official visit, the delegation of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute visited the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, the Iran University of Science and Technology, and Khoja Nasiruddin Tusi University of Technology, which are among the most prestigious higher education institutions in the world. During the visits, the parties identified mutually beneficial areas of cooperation between higher education institutions and exchanged views on future joint projects, the organization of faculty and student exchange programs, attracting investments, and increasing the export of higher education services. Official cooperation agreements were signed between the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute and these universities. Such events are, of course, one of the important steps towards strengthening the positive image of Uzbekistan in the international arena and further developing relations with foreign partners.
