On October 7-8 of this year, the Second Education Forum between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus, entitled “Innovative Cooperation: Uzbekistan-Belarus Forum on Higher and Professional Education Issues,” was held at Fergana State University. The event was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
The forum was attended by the rector of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Alisher Usmankulov, and the head of the International Cooperation Department, Muhriddin Eshkulov. The forum discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the fields of higher and professional education, scientific research, and personnel training.
On the second day of the forum, thematic sections were held, during which the participants reached agreements on establishing information exchange, seminars, and experience sharing in order to identify education export as a strategic direction and its sustainable development.
Following the forum, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute (JizPI) signed memorandums of understanding with the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) and the Belarusian State Transport University (BDTU). These agreements will serve to implement academic exchange, joint educational programs and scientific projects.
