A cultural festival was held at JizPI as part of the "Tolerance Week"

A cultural festival on the theme “Uzbekistan – a tolerant land” was held at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute on November 16, the International Day of Tolerance.

In accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly, since 1997, November 16 has been celebrated annually around the world as the “International Day of Tolerance”.

In our country, Tolerance Week events are also being held on November 10-15 on this date.

The purpose of holding the “Tolerance Week” is to strengthen the atmosphere of friendship and tolerance in our society, to educate young people in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland, respect for national and universal values, and to develop friendly relations with foreign countries.

In order to ensure the implementation of the instructions contained in the minutes of the meeting of the Jizzakh regional administration No. 06-156 dated November 10, 2025, a festival was organized at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute in collaboration with representatives of different nationalities on the theme "Uzbekistan - a tolerant land".

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Kazakh National Cultural Center U.Saidamanov, Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz National Cultural Center T.Jabborov, Deputy Chairman of the Tajik National Cultural Center Q.Sharipov, Deputy Chairman of the Tatar National Cultural Center E.Gizzatulina, Chairman of the Russian National Cultural Center M.Chujkof, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of the JizPI S.Eshbekova, Head of the Department of Youth Work, Spirituality and Education M.Kholbekova, Deputy Deans for Youth Work of the Faculties, Tutors and Students.

During the event, talented students of the faculties performed poems and songs reflecting the ideas of interethnic harmony, friendship and tolerance for the guests.

Students' performances presented creative works aimed at further strengthening the spirit of kindness, tolerance and mutual understanding among young people, while respecting the cultural traditions, customs and values ​​of different nations.

Through poems and songs, the importance of interethnic friendship, the role of Uzbekistan as a tolerant, multi-ethnic society, as well as the ideas of peace and harmony through historical and modern examples were widely promoted.

During the event, the performers attracted the attention of the audience with their artistic skills and expressive performances on stage and were greeted with warm applause.

It was also noted that the students' creative performances are of great importance in attracting the younger generation to interethnic friendship, tolerance and intercultural dialogue.

According to the participants of the event, such creative performances served not only to unite cultures, but also to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism, social solidarity and tolerance.

The events organized within the framework of the "Tolerance Week" will help the population, especially the younger generation, to preserve and develop the language, culture, traditions and customs of representatives of various nationalities and ethnic groups living in our republic, to contribute to the development of our country, and to further strengthen the sense of a large multinational family in society, interethnic harmony and religious tolerance.
