Today, on January 16, within the framework of the implementation of Resolution No. 691 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 4, 2025, a roundtable discussion dedicated to studying the life and activities of Orifjon Olimjonov was held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
The event was attended by the Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs of the faculty, J. Anarbayev, as well as students studying under joint educational programs.
During the roundtable discussion, the life, activities, and historical contributions of repression victim Orifjon Olimjonov to the development of the country were thoroughly discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on his contribution to national progress, public education, and youth upbringing, as well as his rich spiritual legacy, which remains an important lesson for the present generation. Alongside learning historical facts, students were given the opportunity to freely express their opinions and reflections.
The main objective of the event was to educate young people in the spirit of historical memory, national values, and patriotism, and to help them deeply understand the difficult and complex periods experienced by the nation. This roundtable discussion was recognized as one of the important steps toward enhancing students’ spiritual development and fostering respect for historical heritage at the institute.
