At Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, a meeting was held with Jinwoo Kwak, CEO of Disquiet Accelerator Company from the Republic of Korea, and a professor of startup business at Hallym University.
The main purpose of the meeting was to initiate bilateral cooperation and discuss future plans. During the negotiations, topics such as establishing a joint scientific laboratory, implementing joint educational programs in 2+1+1, 3+1, and 2+2 formats, and creating the Korea–Uzbekistan Drone Education Center were discussed. The parties also explored cooperation mechanisms within the KOICA program, including a Korea semester for students, internships, and work experience, allowing students to gain skills and return to serve in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, prospects for using drones in agriculture, cartography, ecology, and “smart city” projects, the roadmap for cooperation, the memorandum signing process, and the establishment of a joint working group were central topics of discussion.
The guests were given a close look at the activities of the Institute’s Automotive Engineering School, ongoing research in the field, and the modern facilities created to support it.
This meeting marked an important initial step in developing the Institute’s international educational and innovative cooperation.
