On January 27, 2026, a delegation led by the Rector of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Alisher Usmankulov, paid a visit to the prestigious Óbuda University in Hungary. The delegation also included Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Jamshid Abdunazarov and Head of the International Cooperation Department Muhriddin Eshqulov. They were warmly welcomed by the university leadership headed by Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács.

The official meeting was attended by the First Secretary for Economic Affairs of the Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Hungary, Shoxruz Samadov, members of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute delegation, and the leadership of Óbuda University.

The meeting was opened by the Rector of Óbuda University, Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács.

During the meeting, Rector A. Usmankulov provided detailed information about the activities of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, its educational process, scientific research, and future development prospects.

The main purpose of the visit was to transform Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute in line with European standards based on the experience of Óbuda University. In addition, issues related to introducing the position of Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digital Transformation at the institute starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, as well as attracting a foreign specialist with experience in management transformation to this position, were discussed in detail.

The First Vice-Rector of Óbuda University, Prof. Dr. Zoltán Rajnai, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the university’s organizational structure and digital governance system. Subsequently, the parties held discussions on an effective management model based on European standards, strategic planning, quality monitoring, and elements of digital management.

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the university, Prof. Dr. Enikő Maior, provided detailed information on modern curricula, innovative educational technologies, and opportunities for implementing practice-oriented education models.

During the visit, the delegation members met with the Director of the Financial Management Office of Óbuda University, Dr. Ákos Domahidi, and his team. The meeting focused on issues such as financial sustainability, commercialization, attracting foreign investment, joint research and innovation projects, as well as supporting startup initiatives.

This visit became an important step toward enhancing the international reputation of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute and elevating its education and management to a new level, creating a solid foundation for effective cooperation in the future.
