Today, a solemn event was held at Alisher Navoi Park in the center of Zafarobod District, Jizzakh region, in honor of the 585th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi. The event was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, scientific and creative communities, higher education institutions, educators, and students.
Speakers at the event included Saodat Inatova, Chief Specialist of the Zafarobod District branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment (RMMM); Mehribon Abdurahmonova, Head of the Jizzakh Regional Branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan; Iqboloy Umarova, Head of the Jizzakh Regional Branch of RMMM; Ahmat Bolibekov, member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan; Sanobar Eshbekova, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work at Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute; as well as deputy deans, professors, students, and active representatives of the social sector.
The speakers shared detailed insights into Alisher Navoi’s rich literary work and spiritual legacy, highlighting the role of his works in personal development, education, and the promotion of culture. They also discussed ongoing research and initiatives aimed at studying Navoi’s legacy and passing it on to younger generations.
Participants engaged in extensive discussions about Navoi’s philosophical and literary masterpieces, including his “Khamsa,” poetic heritage, and humanitarian principles. The significance of his work for both Uzbek and world literature was emphasized.
The team of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute actively participated in the event, with students and faculty presenting artistic readings of Navoi’s poetry, creative performances, and analytical presentations.

During the program, the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute team laid a wreath at the foot of the statue of Alisher Navoi, the sultan of eloquence.
The event concluded with a visit by the institute’s team to the District Information and Library Center to explore its book collection and educational activities. This was followed by a discussion at the District Spirituality Center hall on strategies for studying and preserving the great thinker’s legacy.
