At Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, a promotional event on the topic “Youth Against Drug Abuse” was held as part of the monthly campaign “Preventing the Spread of Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances among Youth.”

The event was attended by responsible officers from the Jizzakh Regional Department of Internal Affairs, psychiatrists-narcologists from the Jizzakh branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Mental Health, institute staff, and students.

Officials provided explanations about drug-related offenses, their consequences, and the legal measures of responsibility established under the law.

Psychiatrists-narcologists shared detailed information on the severe harmful effects of narcotic and psychotropic substances on human health, the process of developing addiction, and ways to prevent it.

The event was conducted in an open dialogue format, with specialists giving clear and understandable answers to students’ questions. Additionally, video materials on the topic were shown, and informational leaflets were distributed.

At the conclusion, the youth were encouraged to adopt a strict and uncompromising attitude toward drug use, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and approach their future with responsibility.
