To ensure the implementation of the tasks set during the video conference chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev (https://t.me/Press_Secretary_Uz/6889
), Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute is developing master plans for 41 “priority” neighborhoods in the Jizzakh region.
To effectively organize this process, a special headquarters has been established at the institute, and cooperation has been established with responsible organizations and local authorities. Working groups are conducting comprehensive studies of the neighborhoods’ territorial development, infrastructure conditions, and socio-economic indicators. Specific proposals are also being developed to improve transport and engineering-communication networks, expand green spaces, construct social facilities, and promote small business and entrepreneurship.
For example, in the Sovruk MFY area of G‘allaorol district, the second phase of research by the working group—composed of professors, lecturers, and senior students of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute—has been completed, and a project presentation was organized.
During the presentation, the following project proposals aimed at improving infrastructure and living conditions were reviewed:
🔹 Construction of a new administrative building for Sovruk MFY;
🔹 Establishment of a trade and service center;
🔹 Construction of a mini-stadium;
🔹 Addition of a 180-seat building to School No. 3;
🔹 Construction of a sports and cultural hall;
🔹 Asphalting of the central street;
🔹 Construction of a new bridge.
Additionally, to create new jobs in the neighborhood, a proposal was made to reconstruct an existing building and establish a carpet-weaving workshop and a crafts center.
These master plan projects aim to modernize local infrastructure, ensure employment, improve living standards, and strengthen the economic potential of the neighborhoods.
