The INNO Science Park was opened in Jizzakh within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

On March 6, 2026, the official opening ceremony of the INNO Science Park — a scientific and innovation park established within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary — was held in Jizzakh Region.

The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Qoʻngʻirotboy Sharipov; Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region Zafar Azimov; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Uzbekistan József Rózsa; the President of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference Béla Merkely; the Rector of Óbuda University Levente Kovács; as well as representatives of higher education institutions from both countries. The delegation of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, led by Rector Alisher Usmankulov, also took part in the ceremony.

The scientific park is aimed at engaging talented youth, university students, researchers, and professors in innovative activities, enabling them to realize their scientific potential and supporting the development of startup projects.
