Following the opening ceremony of the Uzbekistan–Hungary INNO Science Park, a plenary meeting was held as part of the event. The meeting began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the event, representatives of both countries and leaders of higher education institutions delivered speeches and shared their views on the establishment of the scientific park and its significance for the development of science and innovation.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, emphasized in his speech that the INNO Science Park would elevate scientific cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary to a new level. He also noted that this project would serve as an important platform for strengthening the integration of science, education, and industry.
Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region Zafar Azimov highlighted that the scientific park would play a significant role in the region’s economy and innovative development, noting that broad opportunities have been created for the implementation of new technologies, startup projects, and scientific developments.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Uzbekistan, József Rózsa, stressed that friendly relations between the two countries are steadily strengthening and stated that the INNO Science Park will further expand scientific, educational, and innovative cooperation.
The President of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference, Béla Merkely, noted that this initiative will create important opportunities for developing scientific ties between universities, expanding the exchange of students and researchers, and implementing joint research projects.
The Rector of Óbuda University, Levente Kovács, also stated that the INNO Science Park will strengthen cooperation between universities, research centers, and industrial enterprises, emphasizing that collaboration in supporting joint scientific projects and innovative startups will continue to expand.
During the meeting, the Rector of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Alisher Usmankulov, provided detailed information about the institute’s activities and noted that the scientific park will create broad opportunities for strengthening cooperation between universities of the two countries, developing scientific research, and implementing new innovative initiatives.
