On April 1, 2026, the official opening ceremony of “Engineering Month – 2026” was held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.

This event, traditionally organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, aims to develop the engineering sector in our country, actively engage youth in modern technologies, and promote innovative thinking.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of the Ministry, rectors of leading higher education institutions, foreign guests, industry experts, and talented young people took part.

As part of the event:
— Exhibition of engineering developments;
— Final stage of the “University Cup”;
— Drone racing and robotics competitions;
— Award ceremony for the winners were held.

A notable highlight is that April 2026 has been declared “Engineering Month,” during which hundreds of events are planned across more than 30 higher education institutions nationwide.

In particular, the following modern fields are covered:
— Robotics
— Artificial Intelligence
— Cybersecurity
— Drone technologies
— Green energy
— Aviation modeling

During the month, hackathons, startup presentations, masterclasses, and lectures featuring international experts will be organized, ensuring the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical experience for young participants.

As the final stage of “Engineering Month,” the international festival “Future Engineers” is scheduled to be held on April 28–30. It will provide young participants with an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas on an international stage.

The team of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute participated in the opening ceremony via the Zoom platform.

During the event, the Institute’s Rector, Alisher Usmankulov, held discussions with professors and students, closely reviewed the research developments and projects of young scholars, and provided recommendations for further advancement in the fields of science and technology.
