Within the framework of the “Engineering Month” at Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, the “University Cup” competition was organized, covering innovative fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, and cybersecurity, with a total prize fund of 100 million soums (https://t.me/jizpi_online/55445
).

On April 1, 2026, the official opening ceremony of the competition and the initial rounds in two categories were held.

Today, on April 3, according to the competition program, the second day of contests was conducted in the “3D Modeling” category.

A total of 100 students, forming 25 teams, participated in this competition.

The conditions of the “Best Construction” contest within the “3D Modeling” category of the “University Cup” are as follows:

Purpose of the competition
To assess participants’ ability to analyze load-bearing structures of artificial constructions (bridges), create models in real time, and demonstrate their creative and technical skills.
Age of participants
17–30 years.
Model requirements:
• The model must be made entirely using materials provided by the organizers.
• The bridge dimensions must be at least 40 cm in length and 9 cm in width.
• The structure must include both frame and supporting elements.
• The construction must correspond to the theme and have a clear structural solution.
Competition area
The area is divided into two sections. The bridge models created by participants are tested by gradually applying equal loads in a designated area.
Materials used:
• Foam board
• Pencil
• Utility knife
• Scissors
• Ruler (metal or wooden)
• Ice cream sticks
• Matchsticks
• PVA glue
• Super glue
• Other additional materials (provided they do not contradict the judges’ rules)
Determination of winners
The participant with the highest score is declared the winner. In case of a tie, the participant who completes the task faster is given priority.

According to the final results of the competition:
1st place — Team 4 (69 points);
2nd place — Team 11 (63 points);
3rd place — Team 21 (59 points).

The third day of the competition will be held on April 8.
