On April 8, 2026, a meeting was held at Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute dedicated to the implementation of tasks defined at the video selector meeting held on April 7 under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on priority issues in the field of physical education and sports.

The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of the Rector of the Institute, A. Usmankulov, and was attended by the institute’s management and responsible staff members.

Initially, the Rector held a meeting with the professors and teachers of the Department of Physical Education. After that, separate discussions were held with vice-rectors, all faculty deans, and the press service staff.

During the meeting, the priority tasks set at the video selector meeting were thoroughly discussed, and issues of their effective implementation at the institute level were considered. In particular, specific tasks were defined regarding the promotion of sports among students, the wide encouragement of a healthy lifestyle, further development of sports clubs, and efficient use of existing sports infrastructure.

In addition, the current situation was analyzed, and instructions were given to eliminate identified shortcomings, increase the number of students regularly engaged in sports, and establish systematic work in this regard.

The meeting also established the schedule for organizing sports activities among faculties and departments on a weekly basis. It was also emphasized that regular engagement in sports would be introduced for all staff members under the leadership of the rector.

At the end of the meeting, it was particularly noted that the timely and high-quality implementation of the assigned tasks is essential.
