On the occasion of World Metrology Day, a scientific and practical event dedicated to the role of metrology in ensuring quality, safety, and innovative development was held at the Uzbekistan National Institute of Metrology.
The event brought together representatives of ministries and government agencies, organizations operating in the field of metrology, leading international companies, local partner institutions, and industry experts.
Professors, doctoral students, and master's students of the Department of Metrology and Standardization at Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute actively participated in the event via the Zoom platform.
During the event, participants extensively discussed the role of modern metrology in science, industry, energy, healthcare, trade, and other key sectors, as well as the importance of accurate measurements in ensuring reliable decision-making in public administration, the economy, and society.
In addition, an opening ceremony was held for the primary standard of the unit of relative humidity, developed within the framework of state-targeted scientific programs. The winners of the “Best Metrologist” competition were also honored with awards during a formal ceremony.
The event served as a practical reflection of the ongoing reforms in the field of metrology in Uzbekistan, efforts to strengthen scientific and technical capacity, and initiatives aimed at further improving the national metrology system.
