The delegation of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute participated in the Republican seminar-training on the theme “Maromiylik – A Nationwide Movement.”

A roundtable discussion and seminar-training on the theme “Maromiylik – A Nationwide Movement” was organized at the initiative of the Ulugbek Foundation for the Support of Talented Youth.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Gulnoza Akhmatovna Juraeva, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work at the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature.

The delegation of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, led by S. Eshbekova, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work, actively participated in the seminar-training via the ZOOM platform.

The event was officially opened by Academician Oqil Umurzoqovich Salimov, Chairman of the Ulugbek Foundation for the Support of Talented Youth.

The presentation emphasized that the “Maromiylik – A Nationwide Movement” project is aimed at ensuring the implementation of the objectives set forth in the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy, fostering a culture of moderation, responsibility, and balance in society, promoting thrift, and developing modern educational approaches to combating wastefulness and extravagance.

During the seminar, particular attention was paid to the following priority areas:

elevating moderation to the level of a social value;
fostering a culture of the rational use of resources;
strengthening financial responsibility;
preventing wastefulness and extravagance;
promoting conscious consumption and a responsible lifestyle among young people.

The importance of adhering to moderation and balance in actions, attitudes, approaches, and interpersonal relations was illustrated through practical examples and video presentations. It was emphasized that Maromiylik is not a restriction but a conscious choice and a responsible way of life. Participants were also provided with detailed information on the relevant legal and regulatory framework.

At the conclusion of the event, practical recommendations were developed for educational institutions and civil society organizations, and priority directions were identified for the gradual implementation of the principles of Maromiylik in local communities, education, public administration, and the service sector.

The seminar was also attended by Aziz Sattorov, multiple-time Champion of Uzbekistan in Taekwondo, winner of international competitions, and World Championship medalist. In his speech, he expressed gratitude for the opportunities and support provided to athletes and reaffirmed his commitment to достойно represent Uzbekistan at the upcoming World Championship.

Active young people who had excelled in various nominations were awarded during the event. The cultural program featured performances by Uzbek singer and composer Shuhrat Daryo, who created a festive atmosphere for the participants.

The seminar-training brought together professors and talented students from higher education institutions in Tashkent in person, while university leaders, faculty members, and students from the regions participated online via the ZOOM platform.
