According to the results of the 2026 Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Call under the European Union's Erasmus+ Programme, three international projects involving Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute have been selected for Erasmus+ funding in 2026.
🔹 UzEcoDigiT — Green and Digital Transformation of Higher Education
The UzEcoDigiT project is aimed at the green and digital transformation of undergraduate study programmes in ecology and environmental protection in Uzbekistan. Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute serves as the grant beneficiary and overall project coordinator.
The consortium includes the following higher education institutions from Uzbekistan:
Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi;
National Research University "TIIAME";
Andijan State Technical Institute;
Fergana State Technical University;
Nukus State Technical University;
Kimyo International University in Tashkent;
Green University.
The consortium also includes the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Nazar Business and Technology.
🔹 GreenTex — Sustainable and Digital Development of Textile Education
The GreenTex project is designed to modernize textile education in Central Asia by integrating digital technologies and circular economy principles into the sector while strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions and industry.
The consortium members from Uzbekistan are:
Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute;
Westminster International University in Tashkent;
Textile Standard Services LLC.
Within the project, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute participates as a partner and leads the "Pilot Implementation and Evidence-Based Curriculum Improvement" work package.
🔹 FOOD4FUTURE — Healthy Food Products and Modern Education
The FOOD4FUTURE project aims to modernize educational programmes in Food Science and Technology in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, promote the development of healthy food products, and introduce new academic courses. The project is coordinated by Fergana State University.
The consortium members from Uzbekistan include:
Fergana State University;
Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute;
Association of Oil and Fat Industry Enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
Knowledge Triangle and Innovation.
Within the project, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute leads the "Preparation" work package.
❗️ All three projects are planned to be implemented over a 36-month period (2026–2029).
This achievement will contribute to the development of higher education in Uzbekistan in the fields of ecology, textile education, and food technologies in line with international standards. It will also support the establishment of modern academic programmes and laboratories while further expanding academic cooperation between universities in Europe and Central Asia.
