A meeting on “The State of Preparations for the New Academic Year and Prevention of Neglect and Offenses Among Youth and Minors” was held in the large conference hall of the II Academic Building of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute.

The meeting was attended by Dilmurod Hudayshukurov, Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region; Bakhtiyor Ibrohimov, Regional Prosecutor; Gayrat Qodirov, Head of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs; neighborhood chairpersons, youth leaders, prevention inspectors, school principals and school counselors, directors of technical schools and their deputies for spiritual and educational affairs, rectors and first vice-rectors of higher education institutions, as well as tutors.

During the meeting, issues related to thorough preparation for the new academic year, ensuring a safe and healthy environment in educational institutions, and preventing neglect and offenses among young people and minors were comprehensively discussed.

The speakers delivered presentations on the following issues:

the state of preparations for the new academic year and prevention of neglect and offenses among youth and minors;
analysis of crimes committed as a result of inadequate supervision of minors, strengthening preventive monitoring, and establishing a targeted approach to working with at-risk individuals;
measures to be implemented to prevent neglect among young people and minors.

In addition, proposals and recommendations were put forward on developing programs to prevent and combat crime, systematically organizing preventive measures, combating drug addiction and other harmful social phenomena, preventing offenses among young people at an early stage, as well as preparations for the autumn-winter season and the readiness of educational institutions for the new academic year.

At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant instructions and recommendations were given to responsible officials regarding the issues discussed. Specific measures were identified to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the assigned tasks and to further strengthen work with young people and minors.
