At meetings held by the Head of State from September 3 to 9 on poverty reduction and ensuring employment, priority tasks were set to organize the activities of the mahalla system based on new approaches, work individually with each family in need, and provide targeted assistance based on the living conditions and potential of each family.

In addition, the Presidential Decree No. PF-116 dated June 24, 2026, “On Additional Measures to Effectively Organize Mahalla Governance” defines important tasks aimed at further improving the activities of the mahalla system.

In particular, the knowledge and practical skills of “Mahalla Seventeen” members play an important role in resolving community issues through “mahalla-based” and “citizen-based” approaches, ensuring employment, increasing family incomes, supporting citizens in need of social protection, and improving the effectiveness of work with young people.

In order to effectively organize the implementation of these tasks, training seminars aimed at enhancing the professional capacity of “Mahalla Seventeen” members and effectively organizing work in mahallas have begun today for chairpersons of citizens’ assemblies in the region.

Professors and lecturers led by the administration of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute are participating in the training seminars as speakers, delivering lectures and sharing their expertise.

In particular, a training seminar held at Technical School No. 1 in Zarbdor District was attended by Alisher Usmankulov, Rector of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor; Tolqin Qodirov, Head of the Zarbdor District Department of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan; professors and lecturers of the institute; and responsible officials.

The training seminar, scheduled for September 15–16, is being conducted by qualified speakers in an engaging, practical, and interactive format.

At the conclusion of the seminar, it is planned to strengthen the practical knowledge and skills of mahalla chairpersons and “Mahalla Seventeen” members, further improve the effectiveness of targeted work with the population in local communities, and organize activities within the mahalla system based on modern approaches.
