As part of the visit to China by a delegation from Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, led by Rector Alisher Usmankulov, a series of meetings were held to discuss joint educational programmes, academic exchange, artificial intelligence, and cooperation with industrial enterprises.
First Students of the Joint Educational Programme Begin Their Studies in China
The first participants of the “2+2” joint educational programme established between Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute and Suzhou University of Technology are continuing their studies in China. The leadership of both higher education institutions attended the student admission ceremony.
The programme provides students with opportunities to strengthen their professional knowledge, gain international experience, and familiarise themselves with China’s education system and industrial practices.
Joint Artificial Intelligence Projects Discussed
During a meeting with Chinese partners and investors, the parties discussed the development of the artificial intelligence laboratory being established at the institute, as well as opportunities to introduce advanced technologies and attract foreign investment.
The “Uzbekistan–China Artificial Intelligence Innovation Centre” project was also presented. The participants discussed opportunities for implementing joint projects in education, science and industry. This area of cooperation is aimed at supporting the implementation of the institute’s “Digital University” strategy.
Academic Exchange and the Establishment of a Joint Laboratory Planned
During a meeting with the leadership of Hefei University of Technology, the parties discussed student, master’s and doctoral exchange programmes, joint research projects, the development of textbooks, and the commercialisation of research and technological developments.
Particular attention was paid to the establishment of a joint laboratory for electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles. The parties agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of an international conference to be held at Hefei University of Technology on 6–8 November 2026.
Industrial Experience Explored to Support Engineering Education
The delegation visited JAC Motors, where they familiarised themselves with modern automobile manufacturing processes.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on establishing advanced laboratories for the engineering school, developing practice-oriented education, strengthening the integration of education and industry, and implementing prospective joint cooperation and investment projects.
