INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGIES Faculty History
In 1977, the Jizzakh "General Engineering" faculty of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute was established. In 1980, it operated as the Jizzakh branch of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, mainly in the specialties of "Industrial and Civil Construction", "Production of Construction Products", which has provided many specialists to the national economy of our republic and region to this day. After independence, in 1992, the Jizzakh branch of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute was transformed into a separate independent Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. By this time, the Jizzakh "General Engineering" faculties of the Tashkent Highway Institute and the Jizzakh "General Engineering" faculties of the Tashkent Chemical Technology Institute were also merged into the institute, and 5 faculties began to operate within the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute. These include the following: "Civil Engineering", "Engineering Economics", "Automechanics", "Chemical Technology", and "Evening-correspondence" faculties. At that time, the faculty had such departments as "Architecture of Buildings and Structures", "Water Supply and Sewage; "Heat, Gas Supply and Ventilation", "Production of Building Materials". The specialized departments trained specialists in such areas as "Industrial and Civil Construction", "Production of Building Materials", "Water Supply and Sewage; "Heat, Gas Supply and Ventilation". The current faculty of "Industrial Technologies" was established in accordance with the Resolution No. 157 of June 12, 2014 "On Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On Improving the Activities of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute" dated June 29, 2012 No. 187", as well as the Order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education dated June 14, 2014 No. 229, the faculties of "Industrial Technologies" and "Building and Civil Engineering" were established on the basis of the faculty of "Industrial Technology and Construction" of the institute. On June 1, 2020, changes were made to the structure of the faculties and departments of the institute, and the faculty includes the following departments: "Textile Processing", "Natural Fibers and Fabric Processing" and "Agricultural and Food Processing". departments were merged, and since September 2021, the "Ecology and Environmental Protection" department has also been merged. The Faculty of "Industrial Technologies" Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, according to the protocol No. 11/1 dated June 22, 2024 "On changes to the structure of the Institute", mainly the names of the departments within the faculty were changed to "Textile Products Technology", "Natural Fibers and Fabric Processing Technology", "Agricultural and Food Technology" and "Ecology and Labor Protection". Initially, the dean's post was headed by N. Tangyarikov at the faculty. From October 13, 2014 to 2016, Assoc. Prof. M. Aynakulov, and from 2016 to 2021, Assoc. Prof. M. Pozilov served as the dean of the "Industrial Technologies" faculty. Currently, DSc, Assoc. Prof. Abbazov Ilkhom Zapirovich heads the "Industrial Technologies" faculty.
