The most important information about admission to higher and professional education institutions

✅ Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, entrance exams to state higher and professional education institutions (except vocational schools) are held simultaneously under the principle "test first, then selection". 📱 Applicants are registered for higher and professional education institutions online via the website my.uzbmb.uz from 5 to 25 June 2024 (inclusive). ✅ At the 1st stage of registration, applicants choose the following: ➖ the subject set (for everyone); ➖ the language of instruction (for everyone); ➖ the alphabet for taking the test (if Uzbek is chosen as the language of instruction); ➖ the region for taking the test (for everyone). ➖ the university where the professional (creative) exam will be taken (if a program requiring special aptitude is chosen). ❕ Please note that the program chosen to determine the subject set does not mean the applicant has registered for that program (the program is chosen after the tests). This is done for the convenience of applicants in determining the subject set. 🏀 If an applicant chooses a program requiring special aptitude, they may choose any university convenient for them to take the professional (creative) exam (just like the region for taking the test). This does not mean that the applicant has submitted documents to that university. 📹 Video guide to registration: https://t.me/BaholashUz/6628 ▶️ Watch the video guide on YouTube in HD: https://youtu.be/IU_udMVbWBo 📆 Entrance exams to higher and professional education institutions are held simultaneously in July–August (the exact dates are set by the State Commission). ✅ The 2nd stage of registration lasts 15 days after the tests are fully completed, and applicants choose the following: ➖ the higher education institution (a university offering a program that matches the subject set in which the test was taken); ➖ the bachelor's program (a program matching the subject set in which the test was taken and the language of instruction); ➖ the form of study (different forms of study may be chosen); ➖ the selection priority (one of the priorities: "State grant" or "Study program"). 👨🏻🎓 The scores obtained by the applicant on the test are announced the day after the exam, and the mandate results are announced on the website my.uzbmb.uz within a week after the selection of programs is fully completed. ✅ Applicants who wish to study at colleges and technical schools choose the following within 10 days after the mandate results for universities are announced: ➖ the college and/or technical school; ➖ the profession and specialty; ➖ the form of study. 📝 The mandate results for colleges and technical schools are announced on the website my.uzbmb.uz within a week. The procedure for awarding applicants points based on the national certificate in general education subjects ✅ In accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 646 of 12 October 2020 "On the introduction of a national testing system for assessing knowledge of general education subjects", applicants are awarded, according to the certificate they hold, the maximum or a differentiated (proportional) score in the specialty subject and the maximum score in the compulsory subjects. In this regard: ❗️for certificates issued before 1 March 2024 (within the certificate's validity period): ❇️ if the certificate score is 86 or higher, applicants are awarded the maximum score set for this subject in the entrance tests for a university bachelor's program; ❇️ if the certificate score is from 60 to 86, applicants are awarded a differentiated (proportional) score in the entrance tests for a university bachelor's program, calculated as a percentage of the maximum score set for this subject, relative to the total certificate score. 💡An applicant holding a national certificate is awarded the highest score set for the compulsory subjects. ❗️for certificates issued after 1 March 2024 (in accordance with the amendments and additions introduced by Resolution No. 17 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 10 January 2024): ❇️ applicants who received an A+ or A level certificate are awarded the maximum score set for this subject in the entrance tests for a university bachelor's program; ❇️ applicants who received a B+, B, C+ or C level certificate are awarded a differentiated (proportional) score in the entrance tests for a university bachelor's program, calculated as a percentage of the maximum score set for this subject, relative to the total certificate score. Applicants can register online via the website my.uzbmb.uz. Key points: ➖ applicants register to take the test from 5 to 25 June (inclusive). At this stage applicants choose only the subject set for the test, the language of instruction and the region for taking the test; ➖ if the entrance exams include a professional (creative) exam, the applicant chooses the state university where they will take it. It is not necessary to take the creative exam at the very university the applicant wants to enter. For example, if someone wants to enter the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, they may take the creative exam in any region, say in Bukhara or Andijan; ➖ the regions for taking the test also include the Sokh and Denau districts. That is, residents of Sokh district do not have to travel to Fergana, and residents of Denau and the surrounding districts do not have to go to Termez; ➖ graduates of previous years must pay 170 thousand soums to take the test. The payment can be made in instalments until 25 June; those who are late will not be admitted to the test; ➖ an applicant who has changed their mind may submit a new application until 25 June. After 25 June, changing the application is not permitted; The grading criteria for transfer exams for those who want to transfer in the 2024/2025 academic year are as follows 👉 For the 3 subjects compulsory for all test takers: ➖ Native language (Uzbek, Russian or Karakalpak) — 10 questions. 1.1 points each. Notice for applicants

The applicant must submit the required documents to the admissions committee and confirm that the data corresponding to the submitted documents has been entered correctly in the applicants' database. After the admission process ends, the applicant's appeals (complaints) will not be considered.

The applicant takes part in the testing on the date and at the time indicated on the applicant's admission pass. During testing, the applicant has the following rights:

    • to use the question booklet as scratch paper;
    • to complete the test tasks ahead of time, then hand the test materials to the group supervisor in the established manner and leave the testing area.

On the day of testing, the applicant must enter the building grounds in an orderly manner by 07:00 (second shift — by 13:00) and the building by 07:30 (second shift — by 13:30), only with the applicant's admission pass and passport, through the identity verification and video recording equipment, strictly following the testing rules; and, in the first shift between 07:30 and 08:00 and in the second shift between 14:30 and 15:00, the applicant must do the following:

    • check that the numbers of the test booklet and the corresponding digital answer sheet match;
    • check the test materials for defects and, if a defect is found, immediately inform the group supervisor;
    • ensure that the answer sheet is filled in correctly;
    • write their last name, first name and patronymic and sign in the designated places on the cover of the test booklet and on the answer sheet;
    • correctly copy the answer sheet number to the corresponding place on the applicant's admission pass and on the title page, and sign;
    • correctly copy the special code and the institution code shown on the title page to the designated place on the answer sheet and fill in the corresponding circles.

In addition to the duties listed above, the applicant is personally responsible for the following:

    • filling in the answer sheet with a light-blue ballpoint pen;
    • not folding the answer sheet, not writing on the marker line, and not filling in the circles located under the answer sheet number;
    • filling in the answer sheet correctly, since it is the main document that determines the level of knowledge;
    • before the allotted time ends, completing the test tasks in the booklet, filling in the corresponding circles on the answer sheet under the matching serial number, and handing the test booklet and its answer sheet to the group supervisor.

The test tasks are compiled in accordance with the curricula of the general education subjects of general secondary, secondary specialized and vocational education.

Depending on the chosen program of study, applicants take the test in one, two or three subject sets.

Each subject in the test booklet contains 30 test tasks.

The time allotted for completing the test tasks (including filling in the answer sheet) is: 1 hour for 30 tasks, 2 hours for 60 tasks, 3 hours for 90 tasks.

Each test task has 4 answer options ("A", "V", "S", "D").

The applicant must mark only one answer for each test task: of the answers considered correct in the test booklet, they fill in one circle with the matching serial number on the answer sheet (answers already filled in on the sheet cannot be changed). If the "marking sample" rule on the answer sheet is not followed — including if the corresponding circle is not filled in for a test task, if two or more circles are filled in, or if a circle is not filled in completely — no points are awarded for that test task.

During testing, the applicant is not allowed to leave the group; applicants who leave are not readmitted to the test. The exception is cases where, because of a condition that adversely affects their health, the applicant leaves the group under supervision without the test materials.

In the following cases the applicant is removed from the testing process, and this is grounds for annulling their results:

    • if, when entering the testing area or building, they tried to bring in, brought in or used during the test a calculator, dictionary, table, book, mobile phone, computer, telecommunication devices or other aids, or cheat sheets;
    • if they passed test materials to another applicant or helped them;
    • if they took test materials out of the building, tore a page out of the test booklet, or refused to hand in the test materials when the time allotted for testing ended;
    • if video surveillance during the test shows that the applicant did not follow the rules and procedures.

Sample test tasks and recommendations for solving them

In the "Useful information" section of the official MTM website there are ten standardized test tasks for all general subjects and recommendations for solving some of them.
