History of the Department of PHYSICS
The Department of Physics was separated from the Department of General Engineering Sciences of the Jizzakh branch of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute in 1979. In different years, the Department was called "Physics and Electrical Engineering", "Electrical Engineering", "Radio Electronics". In December 2019, the Department of Physics was separated from the Department of Radio Electronics. The head of the Department is Associate Professor, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Mustafakulov Asror Akhmedovich. 14 professors and teachers work in the Department with a staff of 11.5. Of these, 3 are Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, 5 are Senior Lecturers, and 6 are Assistants. 6 professors and teachers work on a full-time basis on the basis of 8 part-time positions. The Department conducts scientific research in 2 areas.
1. Study of the physicochemical and structural properties of crystals and polymer materials using spectroscopic methods. Associate Professor A. Mustafakulov, Associate Professor S. Eshbekova, and research assistants Urinov Sh., Akhmadjonova U., Ibragimov J., Mamatkulov B. are engaged in this area.
2. Problems of using modern methods of teaching physics. Associate professors S.Ruziboyev, O.Khalilov, N.Jurayeva, Z.Kulboyev, K.Yakhshilikov are engaged in this area. As a result of scientific research work, more than 10 scientific and scientific-methodological articles were published by professors and teachers in scientific journals under the auspices of the Higher Attestation Board and foreign sources in this academic year. In different years, 5 scientific publications were published by members of the department based on the decisions of the coordinating council. In particular, in 2019, 2 scientific publications were published by the Tashkent Innovative Development Publishing House.
3. The department teaches 6 subjects. There are standard and working teaching programs for these subjects, and teaching-methodical complexes have been prepared on their basis. Laboratory work of 76 subjects is carried out. The material and technical base for carrying out laboratory work, teaching-methodical equipment have been prepared at the required level. In particular, in 2019, a set of 49 laboratory work items prepared by leading German companies worth 168 thousand euros was imported and put into operation. Teaching-methodical instructions have been prepared for all teaching-laboratory work. All conditions for carrying out laboratory work have been created in 3 teaching-laboratory rooms facing the department, and methodological instructions for carrying out each laboratory work are described on wall stands. The lecture hall facing the department is equipped with an interactive television system, and all classes are conducted in a visual manner using video materials, slides, and video films in accordance with the requirements of the time.
