The initial admission of students to the educational program 5310900 – "Metrology, standardization and product quality management (by sectors)" at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute began in 2011. In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 187 dated June 29, 2012 "On the improvement of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute" and taking into account the needs of the sectors of the national economy of the Jizzakh region for specialties in this direction, since 2013, admission to the educational program 5310900 – "Metrology, standardization and product quality management (by sectors)" has been increased to 60 people, 20 of whom are enrolled on the basis of a state grant and 40 on the basis of a paid contract. Students were admitted to the "Management (by industry)" educational program. This admission rate remained unchanged from the 2013-2018 academic years, and the admission quota for the 2018-2019 academic year was set at 40 students. The admission quota for the 2020-2021 academic year was set at 75 students. In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 157 dated June 12, 2014, the Department of "Metrology and Standardization" was established at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute on July 27, 2014 in order to train qualified competitive personnel in the educational direction 5310900 - "Metrology, Standardization and Product Quality Management (by industry)". Initially, in order to conduct high-quality laboratory training in specialized subjects for students of this direction, modern equipment and equipment worth 34 million soums were brought and installed in the appropriate training laboratory room of the department under the auspices of the "Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources" of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Currently, cooperation has been established with the Jizzakh branch of the National Institute of Metrology of Uzbekistan and the "State Center for Certification and Testing of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies of Uzbekistan" to improve the quality of education in the specialized disciplines taught and ensure the integration of education with production. Since September 2014, the Department of "Metrology and Standardization" has been headed by Associate Professor R.R. Islamov, Candidate of Technical Sciences. Since January 2016, the Department of "Metrology and Standardization" has been headed by O. Koychiyev, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences. Since October 2016, the Department of "Metrology and Standardization" has been headed by U.Islomov, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences. From September 2017 to December of this year, the head of the department was Associate Professor R.R. Islamov, Candidate of Technical Sciences. From December 2017 to 2019, the department was headed by Associate Professor B.N. Koziev, Candidate of Technical Sciences. Since 2020, the department has been headed by Shertaylokov Gayrat Muradovich, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogical Sciences. Today, the following professors and teachers - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor P.Matyakubova, Candidates of Technical Sciences Assoc. Prof. B.N. Koziyev, Assoc. Prof. A. Turgunboyev, Assoc. Prof. Sh. Masharipov, Assoc. Prof. G'. Boboyev, Senior Lecturers G'. M. Shertoylokov, F. M. Isroilov, N. Badalov, B. Mukhammadiev, O'. Jamolov, F.A. Rakhmonov, and Assistants A. Abdurahmonov, F. Shukurov, O. Mustafayev, K. Ergasheva, A. Bozorov, B. Altmishov and Head of Office H. Kurbanova work at the department. In 2020-2021, the department published 4 textbooks, 31 teaching and methodological guides, 6 patents, more than 30 scientific articles from conferences, and more than 50 scientific articles in scientific and foreign scientific journals.

SCIENTIFIC WORKS UNDERTAKEN IN THE DEPARTMENT
Today, the department pays special attention to the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel. Currently, 1 teacher is on the verge of defending his candidate dissertation and 4 teachers are working as independent researchers. Senior teacher of the department G. Shertoylokov is completing his scientific research work this academic year and is conducting organizational work on the defense. Senior teacher of the department F. Isroilov is conducting scientific research under the guidance of prof. B. Egamberdiev on the topic "Physical and technological basis of the formation of silicon-nickel nanoclusters of intercalated atoms", and assistant A. Abdurahmonov is conducting scientific research under the guidance of prof. B. Egamberdiev on the topic "The process of formation of nickel-manganese silicides in silicon".
FOREIGN COOPERATION
Ivanovo State Chemical Technological University (ISTU), (Russian Federation) implements cooperation to improve the quality of education under the Cooperation Agreement concluded on 18.05. 2018 on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation on vocational education dated 12.08.2005. Negotiations are currently underway with the department. The higher education standards of the Russian Federation were developed based on the federal state standards, educational standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the latest trends in the development of science and technology, employers and the labor market. In the 2019-2020 academic year, admissions were made at the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute in 4 areas of joint educational programs (5320400-Chemical Technology (by types of production), 5310900-Metrology, Standardization and Product Quality Management (by areas), 5310800-Electronics and Instrumentation (by areas), 5350700-Radioelectronic Devices and Systems (by areas)), as well as 2 areas (5340100-Architecture (by types), 5340200-Construction of Buildings and Structures (by types)) in total 6 areas of education in accordance with clause 11 b of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-4391 dated July 11, 2019. The meeting of the State Commission for Admissions of the Republic of Uzbekistan In the statement No. 11 (October 5, 2019, paragraph 8), the admission quota for the training of bachelors and masters on a fee-based contract basis to the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute for joint educational programs was set at 20 people in the direction of "Metrology, Standardization and Product Quality Management". The rights and obligations of the parties in the educational program under the concluded contract are as follows:
MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL BASE OF THE DEPARTMENT
In the 2020-2021 academic year, the Department is equipped with 1 projector, 1 computer, 1 printer, 1 scanner and 1 television set of technical equipment for conducting classes. There are 2 training laboratory rooms intended for conducting laboratory and practical classes. Starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, most laboratory and practical classes were held in the branches of the department, that is, at production enterprises. In the 2020-2021 academic year, student internships are being carried out in cooperation with the State Enterprise of the National Institute of Metrology of Uzbekistan, the UzTEST Unitary Enterprise, the Jizzakh Regional State Sanitary Epidemiological Center, Standard-Lux-Service LLC, the Agro-Industrial Complex Service Center, the Jizzakh Regional ETUT, and the Jizzakh Regional Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection.
